Melinda Kendall has run the LinuxWorld events as VP/GM of IDG World
Expo for the past two years, launching the OpenSolutions Summit
Conference and the Next Generation Data Center conference and expo.
Previous event experience includes the launch and management of Java
Internet Business Expo and COMDEX/Enterprise for Softbank Forums
(MediaLive), and running smaller conferences including Web
Innovation. In addition, Melinda served as vice president and senior
vice president of the central marketing group at Softbank Forums and
MediaLive, working on Networld+Interop, Seybold Seminars, and COMDEX,
among others.

Prior to her move into events, Melinda spent 13 years in publishing,
in circulation, business planning and research, experience recently
put to use helping develop the practice of audience audits in the
event industry at BPA Worldwide.
