Scott Goldman
President
Eaton Hall Exhibitions
Scott Goldman is President of Eaton Hall Exhibitions in Florham Park, New Jersey. Eaton Hall produces The School Building Expo and has created other shows including RxQA-The Show on Pharmaceutical Quality Assurance, Aircon, Service and Contractors Expo, and The Food Safety Summit, which was sold in early 2006.
Prior to being a show organizer, Goldman was creator and publisher of Exhibit Marketing Magazine, a how-to magazine for exhibitors, which Eaton Hall sold to Tradeshow Week. He also worked on Madison Avenue as an advertising copywriter.
Scott is a self-confessed “trade show junkie.” He attended his first trade show at age 15. Too young for admission, Goldman snuck in the back door of Long Island’s Nassau Coliseum to attend a graphic arts show in search of suppliers for the printing business he was then running from his parents’ basement. Goldman found his suppliers at the show, and continued to run a profitable printing business while in high school. He also found a passion for trade shows.
Several years, many shows, and a short career in the family fire sprinkler business later, Goldman launched Exhibit Marketing, a magazine that was part of the exhibitor kits for hundreds of major shows. The advertisers were exhibit and display manufacturers, exhibit movers, and others who serve trade show exhibitors. Goldman says it was a SISO event he attended as a publisher that made it clear to him that publishing and organizing shows were similar enough to launch a show, and his show management career was born.
Goldman has presented at SISO, TSEA, and IAEM. He earned TSEA’s Exhibit Focus Award, and has trained exhibitors for other show managers. He is married with two children, and lives in Livingston, New Jersey.
