CEMS Appoints International Trade Information, Inc. (ITI) Official Representative in the USA & Canada

Singapore’s Conference & Exhibition Management Services Pte Ltd (CEMS) has announced the official appointment of International Trade Information Inc. (ITI), as its representative in USA and Canada for 2 of its flagship events, Safety & Security Asia 2009 and Glasstech Asia 2010.

Both exhibitions will take place in Singapore. The eighth edition of Safety & Security Asia is co-located with Homeland Security Asia and Fire & Rescue Asia and is scheduled for Sept. 30-October 2, 2009 at the Suntec Convention Center. The exhibition recently received Trade Certification from the U.S. Department of Commerce, enabling the U.S. foreign commercial service to assist U.S. exhibiting companies with leads, matchmaking and other services.

The ninth edition of Glasstech Asia, incorporating HollowGlass Asia, Glass Accessories Asia and Solartech Asia takes place June 30-July 1, 2010.  It expects to have 5000 qualified buyers visiting 250 exhibiting companies from 20 countries.

“By partnering with an experienced organization like ITI, we are confident that companies in the U.S. and Canada who want to expand their market share in Asia will have a very successful experience.” said Mr. Steven Tan, Senior Exhibition Manager, Conference & Exhibition Management Services Pte Ltd.

According to ITI President, Stephanie Selesnick, CEM, “ITI made the decision to add international show representation to our list of services because companies who export create jobs at home while increasing sales. As the recently released CEIR statistics show, tradeshows are still the most cost effective way to enter a new market, find distribution and increase market share. It is also a great way for companies to support local representatives. Having previously worked with CEMS we have found them to be a very progressive and professional organization and look forward to expanding U.S. and Canadian participation in the areas and industries they serve.”

Established since 1980, CEMS is a regional organizer with a global perspective. A key player in the Meetings, Incentives, Conventions and Exhibitions (MICE) industry in Singapore, CEMS’s business activities span across many countries in South East Asia, including Singapore, Thailand and Vietnam as well as other Asian countries like China, India and Pakistan. As part of its expansion programme, CEMS has offices in Beijing, China; Karachi, Pakistan; and Mumbai, India.
