Nominations Now Accepted for The Robert L. Krakoff SISO Leadership Award - Tradeshow Industry Award honors B2B Icon
Santa Monica, CA [January 11, 2010] – The Society of Independent Show Organizers (SISO) has announced it is accepting nominations for The Robert L. Krakoff SISO Leadership Award. Honoring a great proponent of the face-to-face events industry – Robert L. Krakoff – this award is given annually to an individual who has made outstanding contributions to the face-to-face industry throughout his or her career.
Following Krakoff’s untimely passing in 2007, SISO leadership developed the award to honor his memory. The award will be presented at the SISO 2010 CEO Summit.
Throughout the course of his career, Robert L. Krakoff mentored hundreds of show managers, including many current leaders in the international events industry. During his three-decades-long career, Krakoff was the president and chief executive of Nielsen Business Media, Reed Business Information/ Cahners Publishing, and Advanstar Communications. He also was a strong supporter of SISO, having spoken frequently at both the CEO Summit and the Executive Conference.
