Anthony (Tony) Calanca has a 25-year history of involvement with domestic and international trade and consumer exhibitions.

Tony joined Advanstar in 2006 as Executive Vice President, Exhibitions, and is responsible for the continued growth and direction of the company’s Fashion, Licensing, Life Sciences, and Powersports events. Among the 91 events that Tony manages are four properties named among the Trade Show Week Top 200 – fashion’s biannual MAGIC Marketplace in February and August; Dealer Expo, the largest U.S. trade show in the powersports sector; and Licensing International, the world’s biggest license industry event.

Prior to Advanstar, Tony was Senior Vice President at Reed Exhibitions, managing a $90 million division.  Tony also co-founded an entrepreneurial trade show firm, Infinity Expo Group. Tony is an active member of the exhibition community (SISO’s Education Committee, CEO Forum) and is a frequent speaker at industry events.

An Illinois native, Tony now makes his home in New Canaan, Connecticut, with his wife of 25 years, Pat Dolson – retired President of Reed North America – and their two sons.  Tony graduated with a degree in Business from Bradley University in Peoria, IL, where he was a member of the Bradley Braves basketball team.  Tony’s other interests include community service (President of the New Canaan Sports Council, elected member of the Town’s Board of Assessment Appeals), the avid reading of military histories, and supporting the Mets and the Jets.
