Alan Peterson

As president of the Trade Show and Conference group for Penton Media (www.penton.com), Alan Peterson oversees all in-person events for the company, including New Hope Natural Media events (www.newhope.com). Peterson has more than 19 years of experience in trade show management.

Peterson joined Penton in 2006. Under his stewardship, the tradeshow and conference group of New Hope has grown more than 22% and has overseen the launch of two successful events, The Organic Summit and the Healthy Foods International Exposition and Conference, produced in collaboration with Supermarket News.

Before joining New Hope, Peterson was owner of Collaborative Service Group. Prior to establishing his own company, he was partner in Davis Peterson Collaborative, LLC, which launched, owned and managed the Luxury Kitchen and Bath Collection as well as a number of other events. In addition, Peterson worked for Miller Freeman, Inc. for nine years in a variety of positions that included managing three top 200 Tradeshow Week events. He has a Bachelor of Arts from Southern Utah University.
