COMEXPOSIUM APPOINTS SIMON FOSTER AS CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICER
Comexposium Group announced today that Simon Foster has been appointed as Chief Executive Officer as of August 2017. At that time, Renaud Hamaide will transition from CEO to Executive Chairman.
Paris, 3 April 2017 - Simon will lead the Comexposium Group strategic development and implementation across the Globe, managing existing products and teams, optimizing products' performance, as well as overseeing new business launches and acquisitions integration. All Division Managing Directors in France and Regional CEOs in the US and in APAC will report to him. Simon will also manage HR, Business Solutions, Operations and Strategy & Integration, teams.
Renaud Hamaide will focus on his role as Executive Chairman, including defining and steering the Group Strategy with Simon and the Board, managing Finance, and Mergers & Acquisitions, as well as overseeing Investors Relations and Institutional Relations. Simon will report to Renaud.

A graduate of the ESG Management School, in 1998 Renaud Hamaide became Director of Development responsible for acquisitions at the Unibail-Rodamco group. He was then appointed General Manager in charge of the group's Conventions and Exhibitions. Specialising in shopping centres in major European cities as well as convention and exhibition centres and offices in Paris, the corporation is the leading listed European commercial property group. The Executive General Manager of Viparis from 2008 to 2015, Renaud Hamaide has also been the Chief Executive Officer of Comexposium since 2010, where he is in charge of global development and Chairman of UFI, the global association of the exhibition industry, since 2013.

Simon Foster is a 25 year veteran of the exhibitions and media industry. He joins Comexposium from UBM plc, a leading global B2B events organization, where he previously was CEO of UBM EMEA.Simon has a deep knowledge of the global events Industry, international business development, and leadership in Europe, the United States, and Asia. He notably was CEO of both UBM Americas and of UBM EMEA during his time at UBM plc. Some highlights of his time with UBM include launching and building businesses in Brazil, Turkey and Mexico, many successful acquisitions and integrations, most notably the $1bn Advanstar deal.
