MEDIA RELEASE: SISO Announces Next CEO and Management Company

August 12, 2022 – Society of Independent Show Organizers (SISO) announces that Vinnie (Vincent) Polito has been selected at its next CEO, with his firm VP International chosen to take over as the management company for the organization.

The selection was recommended by the SISO Executive Committee who undertook the selection process. The recommendation was unanimously approved by SISO's Board at its August 11, 2022, meeting in Oklahoma City, held in conjunction with the organization's Summer Conference.

"Following a thorough process to identify preferred attributes for the next leader, solicit proposals and applications based on those criteria, and then identify the best candidate, we are confident that Vinnie is the right individual to take over leadership of SISO," said Cassandra Farrington, SISO Chair. "His extensive industry experience and connections, combined with his history in the lobbying activities that have become so critical to our industry in recent years, make him ideally suited to the challenges and opportunities that define the organization's next chapter."

This approval now begins the transition period, which will start with confirmation and signing of a new management contract. Following that, sharing of information and resources will take place through December, with VP International and Polito formally taking the helm on January 1, 2023.
