GLOBUS EVENTS CONCLUDES ANOTHER RECORD YEAR FOR PET FAIR NETWORK
The 8th edition of Pet Fair South China took place in Shenzhen on 6-8 December and welcomed more than 350 exhibitors representing over 2,000 brands and covering 50,000 sqm (almost 540,000 sq. feet) of gross exhibiting space. Larger in scale than the previous edition, the show was visited by 89,278 trade visitors and consumers, marking a new record. Its 9th edition will return to Shenzhen again on 5-7 December, 2025
Pet Fair South China serves the Greater Bay area in Southern China. Together with two other regional events - Pet Fair Beijing and Pet Fair Southeast Asia (Bangkok) - the Pet Fair Network serves the growing pet industry in China and the broader Asia region with targeted events. Pet Fair Asia, the Network’s flagship event, is held annually in Shanghai and is one of the world’s largest pet shows.
The unique Pet Fair Network acts as a catalyst for the global pet industry, allowing businesses to tap into the enormous opportunities offered by Asian markets.
“The growth of Pet Fair Asia and its expansion, not only in China but also in other Asian markets, is a testament to the continuous growth of the pet industry in this region,” said David Zhong, Founder and President of Globus Events / Pet Fair Asia. “These markets, and in particular, China, remain resilient and dynamic, and bring to the industry fascinating innovations and trends. The vast range of products and solutions presented at our shows make them unique for pet industry players worldwide,” he concluded.
Pet Fair Asia takes place every August at the Shanghai New International Expo Centre (SNIEC). Since its launch in 1997, the show has witnessed the rise of the Chinese pet market and maintained an impressive year-on-year growth. Its 26th edition earlier this year, and largest to date, covered 300,00sqm (over 3.2 million square feet) of gross exhibiting space and had more than 2,500 exhibitors and 124,000 professionals from 91 different countries. Of particular note was the 41.8% increase over 2023 in international attendance, which, for the first time, accounted for 10% of total trade visitors, making the show more international than ever.
The last two days of Pet Fair Asia welcomed more than 380,000 consumers and pet lovers, which helped to increase brand awareness with end users. The 27th edition of Pet Fair Asia returns to Shanghai on 20-24 August, 2025.
In October 2024, Pet Fair Southeast Asia held its third edition at BITEC in Bangkok, Thailand, reaffirming its reputation as Southeast Asia’s leading B2B international pet show. Co-organized by Globus Events and VNU Asia Pacific Co. Ltd., this expanding show brought together more than 400 exhibitors from 32 countries and more than 10,000 trade visitors from 81 countries. The 4th edition of Pet Fair Southeast Asia returns to Bangkok on 29-31 October, 2025.
Lastly, Pet Fair Beijing, held every February, is the first procurement platform in the calendar year for China’s pet industry. With GLOBUS Events recent acquisition of a majority interest in China Pet Expo (CPE), also located in Beijing, both shows will merge under the Pet Fair Asia Beijing brand to become China’s second largest pet show. The upcoming combined expo is scheduled to take place on 27 February – 2 March 2025.
Pet Fair is an important platform in GLOBUS Events’ portfolio, which includes other leading co-organized events exhibition brands, such as DOMOTEX Asia/CHINAFLOOR, R+T Asia, TCT Asia, VIV Select China, and Salone del Mobile.Milano Shanghai.
