Edward J. Krause III (Ned) is the President and CEO of E.J. Krause & Associates, Inc. (EJK). EJK is a major producer of exhibitions and conferences on a global basis. Headquartered in Bethesda, Maryland, just outside of Washington, DC, EJK has 9 offices across three continents. As a worldwide trade show and conference organizer, EJK produces over 40 events in 14 different industries such as telecommunications, IT, manufacturing, construction, energy, plastics, paper and forestry, food, environmental and security. EJK has formed numerous global alliances and partnerships with government groups in China, Russia and other emerging markets, as well as with other major show producers and numerous associations around the world. EJK is one of only a few trade show organizers that has a truly global sales and marketing network. E.J. Krause de Mexico, a subsidiary of EJK, is the largest organizer in Mexico. Mr. Krause brings over 30 years of experience in the exhibition, conference and publishing industries to the EJK organization. Mr. Krause was the recipient of the 2005 Trade Show Week’s Fastest 50 Special Honoree award, the 2007 Pinnacle Award from (IAEE), the International Association for Exhibition and Events and the Industry Award of Excellence in 2009 from (SISO) the Society of Independent Show Organizers. He also was the first person representing the USA to be elected to The Global Association of the Exhibition Industry (UFI) Board of Directors. Mr. Krause also has served on the Society of Independent Show Organizers Board (SISO) for 6 years. He was named by Trade Show Week magazine as one of the top100 influential people in the tradeshow business. EJK was founded in 1984 by Mr. Krause and his father, Ted Krause, who was a pillar of the industry in his own right. Mr. Krause took over the leadership of the company and has built EJK into an industry leader. Prior to EJK, Mr. Krause served as the Director of Marketing of Clapp & Poliak International, where he spearheaded a successful move into developing markets in Latin America and the Far East. This included organizing the first major U.S. trade show ever held in China since normalization in 1980. Prior to Clapp & Poliak, Mr. Krause held major responsibilities for trade events at the U.S. Department of Commerce International Trade Administration and the U.S. Department of Transportation where he played a key role developing the largest aviation and transportation exhibition ever held in the U.S. Mr. Krause has a BA from La Salle University in Philadelphia, and resides in Potomac, Maryland with his wife, Mary Ann, and daughter Kara, a graduate of Georgetown University.
