Diversified Business Communications produces over 80 trade and consumer shows and publishes 4 trade magazines in addition to industry supportive eNewsletters and community and resource websites in the US, Australia, Canada and Europe. Primary industries served include retail, food, seafood, ethnic food, food technology, project management, natural and organic products, building and construction, and commercial marine.
Nancy was the President and CEO of Diversified Business Communications from 2003-2008 after which she assumed overall leadership of Diversified Communications. Diversified Communications currently operates in the broadcasting, exhibition, publishing and emerging-media industries.
Previously, as Vice President of Business Development, she spearheaded the rapid growth of the company, which grew from four trade shows and three magazines in 1993. Significant developments include acquisition of Australia’s leading exhibition firm, expansion into Canada through a partnership, launching a seafood show in Europe, and the acquisition of Full Moon Communications in the UK.
Prior to her dedication to business development, Nancy spent 12 years with the publishing division of Diversified, as editor and subsequently publisher of Seafood Business magazine, an award-winning publication serving seafood buyers in the foodservice, retail and distribution sectors.
She began her professional career in the seafood business as a commercial fisherman, owning and operating vessels fishing in Rhode Island and Alaska.
Nancy is immediate past Chair of CEIR – Center for Exhibition Industry Research and currently serves as Vice Chair of SISO – the Society of Independent Show Organizers.
