CEO, Cambridge Innovation Institute
As CEO of Cambridge Innovation Institute (CII), a private conference and media company, Ben leads overall operations, strategy, and growth. He has been with CII since 2018 and has held various roles of increasing responsibility during his tenure that have involved launching new products, acquiring other event/media companies, implementing cost-saving measures, adding revenue streams, and starting new divisions that serve different industries. Prior to joining CII, Ben worked as a Scientist at Smith & Nephew, where he helped launch several bioresorbable implants to repair orthopedic pathologies, including leading the development and characterization of new polymers/biocomposites. Ben received his BS in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Maine, worked as a Process Engineer for Procter & Gamble, and then earned his MS and PhD in Biomedical Engineering from Boston University. He obtained a GCBA from Northeastern University, authored over 10 peer-reviewed publications, and delivered over 20 scientific conference presentations.
