Matt Benyon

Matt Benyon was appointed Chief Executive Officer of the Easyfairs Group on 1 September 2022.
He joined Easyfairs in 2009 as CEO, Easyfairs UK, and very soon extended his responsibilities to become
CEO, UK and Global (UKG), responsible for Algeria, France, Italy, Portugal, Spain, and the UK. Benyon has
also managed the Group’s events in the US, China, and the United Arab Emirates. Benyon has been
involved in numerous acquisitions for the Group and their successful integration. He has driven revenues
and EBITDA growth year-on-year through a combination of smart cost management and a clear focus on
serving Easyfairs visitor and exhibitor communities.
Benyon joined Easyfairs from Expomedia Group, where he was responsible for the UK and Indian
exhibition businesses on a day-to-day basis as well as fulfilling a Group Exhibitions Director role. He
previously worked for 12 years with the Montgomery Group as Managing Director for Montgomery
International, where he was responsible for running events in many countries, including Hungary, India,
Poland, Russia, and South Africa. He was also responsible for Montgomery’s international agency division.
Benyon studied at the Berlin School of Economics and Law, where he graduated with a degree in
international business. He went on to work in the marketing and advertising team at Robert Bosch GmbH
before returning to the UK to kick-start his career in events in 1996.
